Kendall Ratcliff is a local Helena, MT artist specializing in two- and three-dimensional work combining translucent rock and repurposed, antique and new stained glass.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Kendall grew up in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia before moving to Butte, MT to attend Montana Tech and finally settling in Helena where she and her husband have raised a family while working for many years in the mining industry. Kendall holds a B.S. degree in Finance from West Virginia University and a B. S. degree in Geological Engineering from Montana Tech.
Trained locally in basic stained glass technique beginning in 2006, Kendall is enjoying experimenting with the many combinations of color, patterns and textures in the rocks and glass she uses to create abstract and representational pieces.
“As I grow older, I realize that my education, professional background and life experience help me primarily to understand that the world is continuously offering opportunities to learn and change and those opportunities are best not wasted.”
